Emma

I am a milk chocolate lab-mix girl with movie star eyes. My sweet disposition will melt your heart. I am playful, affectionate, athletic, and friendly. I love other dogs and am immediately friendly and loving toward new people. I am very waggy, and my whole body wiggles when I am happy. I am very smart! I understand commands and am a pretty good listener. I am still working on my leash manners, but I am learning quickly and eager to please. I am fully house trained, up to date on all of my shots, and have a micro-chip. My foster mom found me irresistible (of course!), and rescued me from the Prince George's Animal Shelter to help me find a permanent, loving home. I am simply gorgeous and ready to spend my days being loved, enjoying walks and lots of good play, and being your very best friend.  Call me? For more information, please email: taquiayala@rocketmail.com. If you are interested in helping to sponsor Emma, please also send email to: taquiayala@rocketmail.com. Thank you!

Norman and Willow

These two are just the cutest things in the world! Norman and Willow (both 9 years old) have been together since day one. They are both very housebroken and would love to stay together. Both still have a lot of spunk in them and would make perfect pets (we will separate them if that’s the only way you can take them). Their person had to be hospitalized and wanted to make sure her babies were well taken care of. Norman and Willow are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on shots. If you would like to meet this beautiful duo, please contact The Humane Society of Lackawanna County, PA at 570-586-3700, or email gshep854@epix.net.

Holly

Holly is an awesome 7-year-old yellow Lab who recently lost her family. She is housebroken, knows basic commands and is great with children, dogs, and people.

Holly needs a wonderful home where she can be part of the family, eat yummy food, and get taken on regular walks. If you're interested in adopting Holly, please e-mail lynne_marsha@hotmail.com

Angelica

We are PAW Rescue in Greenbelt and we took a young female (yellow) lab from the PG shelter to save her from euthanasia last month as they were full. We are pretty sure she is pure lab.  She is quite a hand full and we want to get her  "out there" in as many places as we can so that we can get her a nice home where they can start training her to be the wonderful dog we know she is.

Sweetpea

Sweetpea is a 10-year old black female who was surrendered with her sister by an elderly woman who could no longer care for them. The girls were kept in an outdoor pen for the past couple of years, but they had been house dogs prior to that. Their temporary foster reported that they were well mannered, with no accidents or chewing in the house. Their only issue seems to be a separation anxiety – when he left them to go to church on Sunday,
they tried to dig their way out of the fenced-in yard to be with him. A home with a kennel-type run to contain them when they are alone would be wonderful, or a placement where someone would be home with them all day
would be even better.

They have been together all of their lives, so placement together is preferred. They get along wonderfully with other dogs, both large and small. I have no idea how they are with cats.

They are not typical "lay around" lazy seniors. Sweetpea likes to explore and, when I give them the run of my 9-acre farm, they are all over it. They come when called, both by whistle and by voice. Other commands are a bit rusty (sit and stay). She is respectful on a leash.

Chase

Chase is a really good dog, he is coming up on 5 years old.  Part Chocolate Lab, part pitbull.  He loves to play and have his ears rubbed and thinks he is a lap dog at times.  He does favor his left rear leg.  Brought him to the vet about a year and a half ago to look at why he favors his leg and there was no reason which could be found.  Cold and wet weather seem to affect him with his leg.  He is overdue for his yearly vet checkup not seeing the vet since we took him in for his leg.  He is house broken and is always in the house with us when we are home.

Chase cannot be in a home with a cat, he sees them as prey.  However, he has been around babies and children with no problems for the past three years with our son, who will be 3 this spring.

He is a good dog and a happy dog who only wants to please and snuggle.

For more information about Chase please email dwayne_13@hotmail.com

Buddy

Hi! My name is Buddy! I am an 8 year old lab mix neutered male. I was left at a local shelter to be put down, but I am way too sweet for that so my foster mommy took me home with her! I am approximately 8 years old, but I don't act like it - I love to play and have lots of energy! Very sweet, gets along with other dogs and doesn't show any signs of aggression towards cats. Crate trained and house trained. Very gentle when taking a treat from you and just wants to be with someone, will follow his foster mommy around constantly just so he is with her. Up to date on all shots and on heart worm prevention, and is neutered.

Looking for a good home if anyone is interested please call Nancy at 804-350-4164 or 804-504-0008 or email at comfortsofhomepets@comcast.net

Charlie

Charlie, a nine year old black lab, came to us from Kentucky. He was living with an older couple as an outdoor dog until one of his owners fell ill. Since the wife needed to take care of her husband, they decided to board Charlie at a vet's office. After a few months, however, the wife also became sick. The couple told the vet to either find someone to adopt him or to put him down. Luckily, a very charitable individual began paying for Charlie's boarding fees, which temporarily ended the possibility of putting Charlie to sleep. A year went by and nobody adopted Charlie, mainly because he is an older dog. Since there was little luck in Kentucky, we decided to foster him in Maryland and here he is!

We can clearly see why somebody would spend so much money on him to be sheltered. He is a wonderful and very affectionate boy, who gets along with other dogs and cats. He is very energetic and full of life. He LOVES attention, and will paw and nose you until he has your full attention. He is always trying to crawl into your lap. Please consider giving this amazing older guy a loving home for his golden years!

Samuel

Samuel (neutered, vaccinated, about 1 year old, about 60 pounds). Samuel, found with an embedded collar and scheduled for euthanization in an overcrowded shelter in the South, was saved by God's grace and transported to Walk by Faith Ministry in VA for his new life. This young guy is an all-happy, all-play, all-about-love Labrador looking for an active, loving home! Please visit www.walkbyfaith.petfinder.com or e-mail walkbyfaithservices@yahoo.com.

Solomon

Solomon: (neutered, vaccinated, housebroken, about 2.5 years old, about 55 pounds)  Solomon, loyal & loving, is so good at sitting and shaking paws he would have made a great politician. But he prefers a life of play, exercise, & spending time with the ones he loves. Solomon would prefer an active family that would like to play, too! He is not recommended for very small kids, but should be fine with not too young kids & big people, plus is good with most doggies! Please visit www.walkbyfaith.petfinder.com or e-mail walkbyfaithservices@yahoo.com.
